Mark Monaco has been working with immigration law for almost twenty-five years, first as a consular officer with the United States Department of State and thereafter in private practice.

Since entering private practice, Mark Monaco has represented close to 2500 clients, primarily in applications for political asylum, temporary protected status, family-based immigrant visas, deferred action for childhood arrivals, special immigrant juvenile status, family-based adjustment of status, provisional waivers and labor certification. He has represented clients before the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State. He has also obtained visas for clients applying in our consular sections throughout the world, most recently in:

  • New Delhi, India
  • Manila, Philippines
  • San Salvador, El Salvador
  • Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
  • Lagos, Nigeria
  • Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
  • Kathmandu, Nepal

Mark Monaco has also represented numerous clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals. He has also been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 1999 and is a volunteer attorney and former president and member of the Board of Directors of the Borromeo Legal Project at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Arlington, Virginia. He has also represented clients on a pro bono basis for Catholic Charities in Arlington, Virginia and the Capital Area Immigrants Rights Coalition (CAIR).

Mark Monaco thus draws on a wide-range of experience in assisting all of his clients, whatever immigration matters they bring to his attention.
